For those of you who grew fond of the characters from the previous movies, the cast will excite you even more. That’s because Melissa Barrera (Sam Carpenter), Jasmin Savoy Brown (Mindy), Mason Gooding (Chad), Jenna Ortega (Tara), Hayden Panettiere (Kirby), and Courteney Cox (Gale) are back for the current sequel. There are still those characters that were added and added a lot more talent to the movie.
Something very important to highlight is the performance of all of them, especially Melissa, who transmits all the emotion of the character with just one look. Jenna Ortega -in her heyday after Wandinha- is also very good and shines in production.

This new story features the four survivors of the events in Woodsboro. Tara tries to rebuild her life and goes to college, while Sam, her older sister, tries to protect her at all costs. Chad and Mindy are also still fighting for survival.
If you were expecting those jumpscares, which are common in movies of this genre, I’ll tell you that this was left out. Of course, there is still one or the other, which is inevitable. However, Ghostface’s history and legacy is much bigger than your average slasher scene. The soundtrack, as always, is of paramount importance: there is a small revelationIt has the theme song from Peaky Blinders (Netflix).
The film uses metalanguage and invites the viewer into the plot, which is more like a robust puzzle about the events. The action is present in the film from the first to the last moment. It is as if we are remembering everything that happened in the saga, all the legacy left by the famous murderer, from the first film until now.
The bad side of horror movies, in my opinion, is always the same: events that don’t make much sense, like getting hit by a knife and continuing to fight, plus the predictability of events.
The Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin film fulfills its role very well and makes the sixth the best in the series, with many more deaths, thrilling horror scenes and very neat. And for those of you who are addicted to Ghostface, here’s some news: the directors have already talked about a new sequel and Scream 7 may be coming, why not?
