The new OnePlus Nord is closer than you think

There’s a new OnePlus Nord about to hit the market, but it’s not what you think. It has caught us completely off guard. Last year’s cheap OnePlus phone could be relaunched with some minor updates in 2023.

The reason we can think of for this move by OnePlus is that the semiconductor crisis and inflation in raw materials have caused the final price of developing a cheap phone from scratch to skyrocket. Hence, they take advantage of the base they already had and update.

According to reports, OnePlus will launch the Nord CE 3 Lite on April 4. The information comes from insider Max Jambor. The design and specifications of the phone were first leaked in November. At the time, it was thought to be the OnePlus Nord CE 3.

However, the leaker OnLeaks later clarified that the device is actually the CE 3 Lite. For all this, what we find inside the company’s cheapest smartphone is nothing special, just a beautifully designed mid-range phone.

Technical specifications of a smartphone that will convince by design

According to the information available at the moment, the Nord CE 3 Lite could have a 6.7-inch FHD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. As for the SoC we would have the Snapdragon 695 5G chipa very fashionable mid-range processor (we already saw it in the POCO X5 5G).

It also looks like it could offer 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The phone is supposed to feature a triple-camera setup made up of a 108-megapixel main sensor, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor.

A 5,000 mAh battery with 67 W charging could complete a configuration that is very much in line with what we have seen in the last six months in the smartphone sector.

Regarding its availability, the OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite might be limited to the Indian market, like its predecessor. We expect it to be an affordable phone, coming in at $300 for the previous Nord CE 2 Lite.
