Last year we already saw how the Galaxy A33 and Galaxy A53 lines in their different variants were mobile phones that we liked very much in the analyzes we did and that, to find some fault, perhaps they were somewhat higher in price than direct competition. And we already anticipate that it seems to be repeated again.
This year we see how samsung has kept almost the same hardware in these new models Galaxy A54 5G and Galaxy A34 5G, since they are identical to the Galaxy A53 and A33 that they presented in 2022. The bad moment of the technological sector could be the culprit of this very conservative policy.
As you will now see, the changes are small and the settings remain stable on both phones, with certain details where you can see that the Galaxy A34 5G is going for the more traditional mid-range and the Galaxy A54 5G has a premium media scent .

Samsung Galaxy A54 5G, the mobile for photographers
The most advanced model of these two new models is the Galaxy A53 5G and it is certainly for few details. In fact, physically it is difficult to differentiate them, since the physical measurements are almost the same as you see in the photos.
the screen of this model is 6.4 inches AMOLED 120 Hz with Full HD + resolution what differs from his younger brother… being smaller. Something logical since Samsung has changed the idea of the smaller the screen, the more premium the phone.
The rear camera setup is very similar to the setup on the A53 adding optical stabilization to the 50MP f/1.8 main sensor along with a 12MP f/2.2 wide-angle and 5MP f/2.4 macro sensor. A very complete setup.
The embedded software is OneUI 5.1 working on Android 13 and has Knox security features and on-screen multitasking app support.
Samsung has been a continuist and has included an internal capacity of 5,000 mAh and we assume that it has 25 W fast charging support. But it is not confirmed by the brand in the press release.
Samsung Galaxy A34 5G, a modest mid-range
This is the more modest model of the two, although not in performance, since they share the same SoC according to the specifications that have been put in the press release table.
This model mounts a 6.6-inch screen, slightly larger than the Galaxy A54 5G. They share resolution, AMOLED technology and a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
The front camera is built into a drop-top design and is a 12MP f/2.2 sensor. It is a design that seems old in 2023, but it is identical to that of 2022 and 2021.
This model also integrates a 5,000 mAh battery and we assume that it fast charges at 25 W. As a bonus, Samsung promises 3 updates to new generations of Android and 4 years of security updates.
Availability and prices
Let’s go to the important one. Both the Galaxy A54 5G and the Galaxy A34 5G are already available for purchase in Spain, with its official release on March 31.
